I was born in Florence, Italy on August 16, 1983.
After Classical High School, I enrolled in the University of Architecture, with a focus on Interior Design. However, I never graduated (I still have to present my thesis). As so often happens while one is still a student, I began working; designing interiors of villas, apartments and boats. At the same time, I had the first requests to organise private parties from friends who admired my taste, but also my particular approach to work. These parties immediately took off. I felt completely at ease in my role as producer, while being both precise and well- organized. I found that event planning also gave me an outlet for my creative energy. At last I had discovered a way of bringing together two aspects of my personality. Perhaps coming from a family of engineers had left its mark!
The big leap from arranging parties for friends to commercial clients, came in 2012, when I was asked to organise a concert by Bob Sinclar for Pitti Uomo. Putting my talents to the test, this concert was my springboard to new creative endeavors. I continued working as an artistic manager, designer and producer in PR, while still producing private parties and weddings.
Then in 2016, I was chosen as casting agent for a short film produced by Micam and Cuoio di Toscana, with the ex-Bond girl Caterina Murino, later shown at the Venice Film Festival. This marked another crucial turning point in my career. My involvement in event production became 360 degree, as I was in charge of everything from the guest list to production. Following a PR event I organised during Pitti Uomo for the Florentine brand Les Petits Joueurs, I was approached by top brands Miu Miu, Moncler, and Triple RRR. It was at this time that I stopped working as a consultant for a number of agencies and set up on my own.
I arranged cocktail parties in boutiques in Forte dei Marmi for Fornasetti, in Porto Cervo for Balenciaga; I assisted the Istituto Marangoni with a research on Influencers, while continuing to organise events and private parties, culminating in a dinner in Milan during fashion week for Rubeus. A true challenge was the event for the luxury furrier Numero Otto, in Milan, in which I was responsible for public relations, product placement, the guest list and handling the VIPs. I worked with a new, but experienced team and we were proud of our achievement.
In the meantime, I carried on with organising private events, parties, birthdays and weddings, with attention to everything from the production and creative direction to the location, catering and flowers.
I love the challenge that Event organization and production offers me; the chance to combine my rational and organisational skills with my strong imaginative flair. Although I check through every detail of an event as if it were an intricate mathematical formula, my idea of beauty and harmony is never overshadowed. This is something that has grown with me. I love the fabulous table arrangements created by Salvador Dalì – I’m a maximalist, to be sure!
And I believe I’m right when I say that what people are looking for on these occasions is a unique experience, the feeling that they have taken part in something that could only exist in that context and at that particular time. A wonderful world, created with infinite care, passion and devotion, while curating with tremendous sensitivity every last detail.
Perhaps some don’t realize the importance of public relations, at the heart of my work, and what it really involves. It’s not just a list of contacts or thousands of invitations to be sent out by email. To me, Public Relations means bringing groups of people together, imaginatively and with great sensitivity; People who then enjoy each other’s company, who create synergy, who share in the world of emotion and excitement created for them.
And when the party is literally over, leaving a smile that lingers upon the guests’ faces, is one of the greatest satisfactions my work brings.
